Agility for Beginners

Agility is a popular sport in Edmonton, and for good reason! This sport works both their brain and their body, and keeps you on your toes too! In this six-week class you’ll be introduced to several obstacles in a safe manner, learn the foundational skills you need to have fun, and try some short sequences. This class is geared toward agility for enrichment, but your instructor will tailor the class to your interest level in competition, and offer recommendations for moving forward if competition is of serious interest to you.

This class is suitable for dogs 6 months and older that have graduated Puppy Prep School or similar. Basic obedience skills are required. Safety is prioritized and your dog will be given age-appropriate exercises (don’t worry, there’s still plenty of fun to be had!). Multiple dogs will be out working at once, and dogs should be able to work around other dogs while remaining reasonably focused on their handlers. If your dog has reactivity or fear issues, they must be cleared by us to attend the class. Class is limited to a maximum of five dogs to allow as much working time as possible.
